Mauritz Paul Tengzelius, age 86, passed away on January 14, 2021 peacefully at Redmond Regional Medical Center in Rome, GA. Born in Manhattan, NY, Paul moved to Marietta, GA in 1970. He is preceded in death by his wife of 59+ years, June Tengzelius, and his son, Steve Tengzelius. He is survived by his daughter, Beth (Mike) Julian, Daughter-in-Law, Loree Tengzelius. Paul has two grandsons, Johnnie Julian and Lane Tengzelius. He proudly served in the United States Air Force for 24 years (SMSGT) and was a Vietnam War Veteran. He was a very proud American always wanting the best for his country. He enjoyed working at Lockheed for 16 years as a Flight Engineer on the C-130. Paul loved his family and always made sure they were taken care of, and was always a great provider. Interesting enough, he was even part of a Roller Derby team in his late teens. Paul loved to tell stories about his time spent in the military and loved talking about airplanes and flying. He spent a lot of time traveling around the United States with his wife in their motorhome. In his free time, he loved watching golf, baseball and any type of TV detective show. We will all miss him terribly, but are rejoicing in the fact that he is with his family that have gone on before him.
