Michael Ray Morgan, 74, peacefully passed away on December 31, 2020, at his home in Canton, GA. He was the husband of Roxanne Morgan. They shared 45 years of marriage. Born, June 1, 1946, in Pineville, WV, he was the son of the late Grady and Audrey Morgan. Mike graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in Beckley, WV, in 1964. He served in the U.S. Army Reserves, while attending Marshall University in Huntington, WV. He was a prominent member of Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity. Mike graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Marshall University in 1993. His career included professional selling and home inspection. In addition to his wife Roxanne, Mike is survived by three sons Derek, Todd (Tiffany), and Justin (Brooke); four granddaughters Sara Layne (Ben), Shelby Mitchell (Jeremy), Ruby Morgan, Sally Morgan; one grandson J.R. Morgan; one great-granddaughter Avery Morgan; and one sister Patsy Shattuck (Allen). He was preceded in death by one sister Saundra Carte.
The funeral arrangements are provided by Lakeside Funeral Home in Woodstock, GA. There will be no funeral service. The family will hold a private ceremony in the spring.
