The family of Monica Salomne Sigman is saddened to announce her unexpected passing on March 10, 2021, at the age of 47. Monica was a beautiful woman, inside and out, who will be deeply missed by her loved ones, family, and friends. She was born on December 25, 1973, to William and Joyce Sigman in Marietta, Georgia.
Ms. Sigman was an animal lover, and her only children were her beloved cats and dogs. Particularly her Pitbull, Deliah. Monica achieved an Associates Degree in Criminal Investigation and worked in fraud detection for worker's compensation and Discover Fraud. She excelled at this career and was very knowledgeable in criminology, psychology, and the criminal justice system. She could run a thorough investigation! In addition to her career, Monica worked for her older brother, William, in Powder Springs. She was a member of Roswell Street Baptist Church, where she was saved and baptized by Dr. Nelson Price. Monica later attended Woodstock First Baptist Church, where she rededicated her life to God.
In earlier years, Monica competed in beauty pageants, was a cheerleader, and played sports. Her beauty and talent earned her a place as a finalist in the Miss Pre-Teen U.S. pageant. She was proud to be in the top ten out of hundreds of competitors. Monica also played softball for many years at Terrell Mill Park in Cobb County, Georgia. She was the youngest of six children and was always supportive of her older siblings.
Monica Sigman is preceded in death by her father William H. Sigman Jr., her paternal grandparents William and Fleeta Sigman, and maternal grandparents James L. Sewell and Georgia L (Sewell) Roper. She is survived by her mother Joyce Geraldine Sigman and her siblings Rosila (John) Huff, William (Beth) Sigman III, Jeffrey (Bernadette) Sigman, Ivan Sigman, and John Sigman. Monica also had many nieces and nephews who she loved dearly.
