Nicole Rose Belongia, age 21, passed away on Friday, November 27th, 2020, due to complications from a car accident on Thanksgiving. Our beautiful daughter was born in Charlotte, NC where she lived for two weeks before the family relocated to Simpsonville, SC for six years. The family home for the last 15 years has been Marietta, GA.

Nicole attended the Cobb County School System as a student at Davis Elementary, Mabry Middle, and Lassiter High. Initially starting college at Kennesaw State University, she transferred after her freshman year to the University of Georgia where she was a senior majoring in International Affairs with a minor in Public Health and Biology. She planned on enrolling in graduate school.

Nicole was involved in numerous clubs and informal groups, including Chorus, Drama, Art, Knitting, Languages (French and Sign), Animal Shelter, and she was a Student Ambassador for the School of Public and International Affairs.

Many remember her as being extremely generous, kind, and always thinking of others. She was goofy and stubborn; she played and joked. She was an artist, a gamer, a singer, and she kept a flair for drama. Her brothers saw a little bit of all the different sides of her. She was involved with activism and was passionate about advocating for many communities, animals, and the environment. She was full of love and loved by many.

Nicole is survived by her parents Robert and Kathy; brothers Michael (wife Christy), Matthew, Jonathan, and Joshua; grandparents Donald and Sandra Cook, Francis Belongia, and Mary Belongia; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Visitation on Thursday December 3, 2020, from 3:00 – 7:00 pm followed by Wake Service at 7:00 pm at Lakeside Funeral Home, Woodstock, GA. Funeral Mass will be Friday December 4, 2020, at 3:00 pm at The Catholic Church of the Transfiguration and will be livestreamed at Transfiguration.com. Seating limited to 200 guests.
