Richard Allen McDaniel Sr., age 75, of Woodstock, GA, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Friday, May 3, 2019.

Richard was born on March 19, 1944 in Akron, Ohio. He grew up in Haines City attending the elementary school and Haines City High School. In 1962, he joined the Air Force and served his country for six years. He worked as a Propeller Specialist and served on year in the Philippines.

He was preceded in death by his parents Carl and Odessa James (Tish) McDaniel.

He met his wife, Wanda, and they married in 1980. They celebrated their 39 ^th Wedding Anniversary February 1, 2019.

Richard loved his family, friends and his country. He enjoyed visiting Air Museums, fishing, RV traveling, and as the grandkids will tell you watching his favorite Western TV shows.

He is survived by his wife, Wanda Sue McDaniel; son, Rodney Keith Watson (Christine) Oneonta, NY; daughter, Monica Kaye Holliman, Woodstock, GA., 3 Grandsons, Brandon Watson, Connor Watson and Rylan Holliman and 2 Granddaughters, Kaitlyn Watson and Hayden Holliman and 4 sisters-in-law and 4 brothers-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 7, 2019 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Lakeside Funeral Home.

Funeral Service is scheduled for Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at 12:00 pm at Lakeside Funeral Home chapel with Rev. David Roper officiating. Interment will follow at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA at 2:30 pm.
