Robert (Bob) A. Schreck, 94 of Woodstock, Georgia passed away in his sleep early Sunday morning July 24, 2022, at home. Mr. Schreck was born July 4, 1928, in Buffalo, New York. He is survived by his wife of 39 years Jacqueline and his four children, Robert Jr. and his wife Kathy, Debra, Loraine Laurino, and Gerald and his wife Deborah. He had two stepchildren, Vicki Hartwigsen and husband Christopher and Kenneth Stadler and wife Kimball, nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Also surviving Bob is his sister Margaret Estes. His family was his greatest joy in life, and he was affectionately known as "the grandfather".
Bob was one of nine children, eight boys and one girl, born to Loraine and Charles Schreck. His first wife of 31 years, Dorothy, passed away in 1981. Bob had a successful career at the General Electric Company (GE) where he spent 37 years. He started with GE in Buffalo and his work had him relocate to several cities including Rochester, Omaha, Atlanta, and Tampa, among others. Bob loved to travel to visit family, socialize, play a little golf, and enjoy a well-done steak with a CC Manhattan on the rocks. Bob started each day with the Wall Street Journal and a good cup of coffee. Following his retirement in 1989, Bob and Jackie moved to Aiken, SC, and then to Woodstock in 2018 to be closer to his daughters. He will be missed by all who knew him.
