Rocco Peters, 80, was born in Albany on August 31, 1943, and passed away peacefully surrounded by family on April 14, 2024.

Rocco was the son of the late Raymond (Rita) Peters. He was the devoted husband of the late Constance Peters. He was a graduate of Cardinal McCloskey High School. Upon graduating, he enlisted in the Marine Corps, and following an injury completed his time in the Reserves.

Rocco initially worked as a Teamster for Eastern Freight Ways, eventually moving into family businesses including Peters Grocery and The Candlelight Lounge. He transitioned into various positions in the automotive industry including Sales, Sales Manager, Finance Manager and General Manager at numerous car dealerships around Albany. He worked for several years as a Property Manager for DCG Development, Inc.

He was an avid golfer, playing at numerous courses throughout the area including Shaker Ridge Country Club. He relocated to Woodstock, GA, to be closer to his son, Ray and his family.

Rocco is survived by his son, Raymond, his wife, Kelly, and his grandchildren, Olivia, and Jacob. He was predeceased by his sister Robin Marie Peters (Albany, NY). He is survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at a future date at the Our Lady of Angels Cemetery in Colonie, NY.
