30,794 were the number of days designated in God's book for Ronald Charles Meyer to live on this earth before he went home to be with his Lord and Savior on June 5, 2019.
Born in Cincinnati February 12, 1935 to Charles John Meyer and Ruth Clara Meyer. Ron grew up in Cincinnati and later moved to Illinois where he met and fell in love with Sandra. They married in 1962 and had 2 children, Martha Lee and Charles John, who are both married. Ron and Sandi now boast 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren, and counting. As Ron used to remind us, "you are all here because of me".
Ron was an engineer for a printing company for many years. He served in the Air National Guard at O'hare field. He lived, worked and enjoyed many areas of the country, making new friends in the local churches and neighborhoods. Eventually as life slowed down for him, he loved to read and watch NASCAR, drive his red convertible, and spend time with his large fun family.
He led his family in godliness and by example in the way of the Word. He enjoyed singing in the choir for many years and serving on short term missions trips in Brazil, building chapels and teaching English.
Ron is survived by: his wife, Sandra Meyer; sister and brother in law, Nancy and Byron Safstrom; brother and sister in law, Kenn and Mary Carol Meyer; Daughter and son in law, Marti and Rex Briant; Son and daughter in law, Chaz and Carrie Meyer; grandchildren and spouses, Ashlee and Devin, Matthew and Ashley, Alyssa and Adam, Abbey and James; Grandchildren, Lauren, Trey and Charlene; Great grandchildren, Chance, Keagan, Talin, Graham, Hayden, Austin, Kaybree, Harrison and Adeline; and a multitude of nieces and nephews.
