Mrs. Ruby Lingerfelt, age 81, of Woodstock, GA, passed away at her residence on Saturday evening, June 10, 2023, surrounded by her family, following a lengthy battle with COPD. Ruby was born in Marietta, GA, on July 31, 1941, to Carl and Fannie Mae Miller. She spent most of her life in Cherokee County.

Throughout her life, she enjoyed all things to do with the outdoors, from camping and fishing to working in the yard, to tinkering with her tractor or cars. She wasn't able to enjoy these types of things in the last several years of her life due to the complications from COPD. She got enjoyment from going gambling and visiting with her friends and family. Ruby was a generous person who was always willing to help those in need. She was a wonderful wife, mom, and Nannie.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Vernon of 54 years, son, Tommy, daughter, Carla Jean, and several brothers and sisters. Survivors include Children: daughter, Tammy (Kem) Cook, son Jeff (Jennifer) Lingerfelt; Grandchildren: Daniel (Haley) Cook, Nick Cook, Zack (Jess) Cook, Zac Mac Lingerfelt, Zane Lingerfelt, Madison Cook, Veronika Lingerfelt, Josie Lingerfelt; Great Grandchildren: Abigail Cook, Garrett Cook, Lilly Grace Cook, Kaiden Lingerfelt; and Brothers: Freddie Miller, Robert Miller, and Eddie Miller.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 14, 2023, at Lakeside Funeral Home in Woodstock, GA, from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm. A memorial service will immediately follow. A private interment will be held later.
