Ruth Clair Turner Pope, age 95, passed away on Saturday, October 26, 2019.

She was born in Macon, GA to parents, Oscar and Ida Turner.  She moved to Atlanta around the age of 20 with her mother, after the passing of her father.  She has lived in the north Atlanta area since then.

Ruth enjoyed Church, reading (especially her Bible), spending time with her family, and chocolate.  She traveled extensively with her late husband and cherished time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 53 years; Henry Pope. Survivors include her son; David Pope, grandchildren; Shawna (and husband Ricky) Blount and Melissa Pope, great-grandchildren; Brittney, Ricky, Austin, Ashlynne, Kaylynne, Angel, and Kadence.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 29, 2019 from 4:00 until 8:00 pm at Lakeside Funeral Home.

The Celebration of Life Ceremony is scheduled for Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at 12:00 at Little River United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers please send donations to the Ruth Pope memorial fund at Little River United Methodist Church.
