Samuel Anthony Nappi 81, of Woodstock, Georgia passed away on February 18, 2024.
Sam was born on August 6, 1942, in Syracuse, New York. Before moving to Georgia, he retired from Niagara Mohawk Power Corporation. While residing in Georgia, he worked for Bell South for several years before retiring once again. Retirement did not stop Sam from working countless hours as a volunteer, enjoying outdoor activities like canoeing and hiking, and spending time with his grandchildren. Sam and his wife Susan have been devoted members of St. Michael Archangel Roman Catholic Church since the early 2000s. Sam was also a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was the leader in organizing and building the food pantry for the church for fifteen years. To this day, because of Sam and other dedicated church members, the food pantry is a successful program that helps many families in the community.
He is survived by his wife Susan Nappi; children Lori (Steve) Woods, Debbie (John) Nicowski, David (Tracy) Nappi and Steve Nappi; stepchildren Jennifer Macfadden, Jerilyn (Chris) Price and Jon (Bonnie) Macfadden; seventeen grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; sister Lucille (Tom) Rurka; nephew Jeff (Julie) Rurka and great nephew Harrison Rurka.
Join the family for Sam's memorial on March 15 at 11 am. The service will be held at St. Michael Archangel Roman Catholic Church on 490 Arnold Mill Road in Woodstock, Georgia. In remembrance of Sam, his family asks that any charitable donations be made to the St. Michael's Food Pantry.
