Sharon Ann Nelson, 65, of Canton, Georgia, passed peacefully at home, surrounded by family, September 17, 2018 following a courageous six year battle with cancer.

Mrs. Nelson was born October 26, 1952, in Oaklawn, IL, to Edwin and Lucile Wozniak who preceded her in death.

After graduating from Oaklawn High School she worked at Sun Chemical in Bedford Park, IL for twenty years prior to changing careers and becoming a loving full time mother, a career she deeply cherished. While embracing full-time motherhood she enjoyed spending time with family, loved home decorating, reading, gardening, and evening walks throughout the neighborhood.

She is survived by her spouse Michael, daughters Lindsey and Courtney Nelson of Canton, GA. In addition to her husband and daughters she is survived by two brothers and three sisters Michael (Christine) Wozniak of Mokena, IL, Sue (Marty) Rizzo of Bolingbrook, IL, Mary Lou (Nicholas) Einbecker of Naperville, IL,Mark Wozniak of Lake City, IN, and Sandra (James) Stefanu of Orland Park, IL and ten nieces and nephews.
