Shirley Ann Hunter, 68, of Woodstock Georgia, passed away on March 4th, 2022 at her home with family.

Shirley was born on October 12th, 1953, to Isaac and Maggie Marie Hunter, in Jackson, MS. After graduating from Lanier high school, in the class of 1971, Shirley went on to study at Hinds Junior College.  After college, she landed her first job at South Central Bell in Jackson, MS. where she later transferred to Atlanta, Georgia to work for AT&T. Shirley retired from AT&T in 2005, after 30 years of service.

Shirley was a fiercely, dedicated mom. Family came first, and was above all else, a value she instilled in all those around her.

Shirley was passionate about shopping and collecting antiques. She was a great cook and loved fashion and decorating. She also loved spending time with her furry companions, Zoey, and Zsa Zsa.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents Isaac and Maggie Marie Hunter 2 brothers Jerry Hunter and Freddie (Noonie) Hunter and 2 sisters Yvonne Parnell and Veola Coleman.

She is survived by: Her Son; Patrick (Dequise) Hunter

Alexis Parnell; her great-niece that she raised and considers as a daughter.

Grandchildren; Lauren Marie Hunter and Blake Isaac Hunter, 3 brothers; Isaac Jr. (Moochie) Hunter, Mickey (D) Hunter and Stanley (Stan) Hunter: 2 sisters Debra (Deb) Hunter-Ogbighen and Wandra Evette (Vette) Hunter and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and many close friends from childhood and work also survive.

The hole left by her absence is impossible to fill. We will miss her greatly.
