Mr. Thomas "Tom" M. Hamby, age 57, of Acworth, passed peacefully on April 29, 2020 at his residence.

Tom was born on July 27, 1962 in Rockwood, Tennessee to loving parents, Junior and Willie Hamby. He graduated from Etowah High School in 1980, and was a talented carpenter. Tom was kind, and had a very "giving" nature. He would always be among the first, to help someone in need. He enjoyed gardening and loved his dogs.

He was preceded in death by both of his parents, his sister, Linda Pope, and his brother, Ben Hamby.

Survivors include his sister; Karen (Bob) Horne of Ft. Worth, Texas, brother; Bill (Sharon) Hamby, brother in law; David Pope, sister in law; Debbie Hamby. Several nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends also survive.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 3 2020, at Lakeside Funeral Home, from 12:00 until 2:00.

Memorial Service is scheduled for Sunday, May 3, 2020 at Lakeside Funeral Home, at 2:00.
