Wayne Crawford, treasured husband, devoted dad and cherished son and brother peacefully died at 2:30 am, June 9, 2020 in Woodstock, GA. Wayne, age 72, and living wife Emilia (Emily), celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary on February 22,2020.
Wayne loved and valued his adopted sons, Charles Z. Crawford, and Matthew Z. Crawford (Dempsey) and so adored his precious grandchildren, Ellis, Emilia, and Charles Crawford.
Born on September 3, 1947, in Washington, DC, he was the only son of Alice Victoria Borg and Francis Thomas Crawford. He is preceded in death by his parents and survived by his wife, sons and grandchildren, along with his sister, Linda (John) Roberts and his nephew, Wayne (Rebecca) Ledzian and niece, Jennifer (Steve) Castellano. Raised in upstate New York, Wayne graduated from Cornell University with a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management. After serving in executive management positions for several nationally recognized chains, he was the owner and broker for Crawford Realty in Birmingham, AL. Committed to his faith, family and friends and daily prayers, Wayne especially enjoyed spending time with his close friends and his three grandchildren. As a talented musician, playing the piano and dancing were some of his favorite pastimes.
The family has chosen to have a private service on June 16, 2020.
