William Joel "Jody" Whaley, age 47, of Woodstock, GA., passed away on March 19, 2019 following a lengthy illness.

He was born on November 4, 1971 in Fort Oglethorpe, GA., to loving parents, Charles and Linda Whaley.

Jody was an Army veteran and was in the restaurant service (Longhorn Steakhouse). He loved the beach, enjoyed playing cards and was an avid Tennessee football fan.

He was preceded in death by his mother; Linda Whaley.

Survivors include, son; Cole Whaley, father and stepmother; Charles (Jill) Whaley, sister; Wendy (Barry) Kuykendall, brother; Jeff Whaley, grandmother; Francis (Bill) Travis. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 21, 2019 from 5:00 – 8:00 pm at Lakeside Funeral Home and the Funeral service will be Friday, March 22 at 11:00 am at Lakeside Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Spence Hoard officiating. Interment will follow at Enon cemetery.
